Castro Performance Center
Dr. Castro helps patients with many different types of conditions that can be resolved quickly and permanently using a combination of Active Release Technique® (A.R.T.) and chiropractic manipulation. These ailments all have one important thing in common — they are often a result of overused muscles.
These are only some of the conditions that Dr. Castro treats:
rotator cuff pain
carpal tunnel syndrome
thoracic outlet syndrome
Restore Your Body’s Power
but guide your care your own way
At Castro Performance Center, our goal is to get you moving and on your way as quickly as possible. We don’t believe in prolonged treatment plans or expect you to book appointments constantly for years to come. Care with us is always straightforward and honest; we believe that your treatment plan is done with you rather than for you. We customize your care by combining multiple modalities to get you feeling better in the shortest amount of time.
Using his knowledge of anatomy and Active Release Techniques, Dr. Castro can restore normal function and texture to a muscle that has been traumatized leading to pain and inflammation
Active Release Technology
A.R.T. is a new non-invasive treatment, which is designed to restore proper muscle function and movement to enable the body to perform at its most efficient level. Whether you’re playing golf, running, sitting at your desk or caring for your children, improved health equals enhanced performance and less pain.
Cold Laser Therapy
Laser therapy uses high powered light to stimulate healthy cell regeneration, reducing pain and increasing wellness
Ultrasound therapy is the use of high-frequency sound waves that cause vibrations which generate heat. Ultrasound also helps reduce stiffness, swelling, and inflammation which leads to more pain-free movements.
Trigger Point Injections
Trigger point injections can treat conditions such as fibromyalgia, sports injuries, headaches/migraines, shoulder, leg, back, and knee pain, tendinitis, and more.
Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy
Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy is designed to promote long-term healing of injured tissue.
Meet Dr. Castro
Dr. Castro received a Bachelor of Science degree from Adelphi University and became a practicing Corrective Therapist. He later graduated from New York Chiropractic College as a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.). As a competitive bodybuilder for more than fifteen years, he gained personal knowledge of the benefits of Active Release Techniques (A.R.T.)®. He utilizes his knowledge of anatomy, neurology, biomechanics, and chiropractic to diagnose and treat injuries.
